Alcohol and drug abuse affects over 20 million individuals in the United States. Too often, those in need go untreated due to lack of education and funds. At Tranquil Shores, we are targeting individuals in our community and providing them with the recovery services they need through the Jimmy Johnson Scholarship Fund.

Recent Statistics
According to SAMSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration):
- In 2023, 47.7 million (16.8%) individuals 12 years and older struggled with illicit drugs.
- In 2023, 61.4 million (45.6%) individuals 12 years and older struggled with binge drinking.
- In 2023, 7.5 million people struggled with both alcohol use disorder and drug use disorder.
- In 2023, 8.9 million (3.1%) individuals aged 12 and older misused opioids in the past year.
- In 2023, 48.5 million (17.1%) individuals aged 12 and older struggled with substance use disorder.
